Group Hails Parliamentary System Of Govt in Osun……Appluads Workers For Understanding Of govt

A socio political group, Oranmiyan Democrats has hailed the initiative of Osun state governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola for introducing parliamentary system of government at the local government level, saying the innovation will save the government from huge spending.

The National  convener of the group, Atunluse Titilola Moshood who gave the hint while speaking with newsmen in Osogbo said, the system apart from saving the cost of governance at the local level will also bring government closer to the people at the grassroot level.

He maintained that,the system is good for our democracy at this critical time when the whole world is battling with economic crisis.

Titilola also said, parliamentary system of government will also enhance credible distributions of dividends of democracy to the downtrooden masses and thereby save the people from penury.

He also applauded the peaceful conduct of the just concluded local government polls in the state, saying the people of the state displayed the omoluabi ethos which the state was known for during the exercise.

The convener of the group also gave kudos to the security operatives and the umpire that saddled with the responsibilities of conducting the election for their uprightness before, during and after the election.

Titilola who used the medium to eulogised the workers in the state for their understanding with government now that the economy is in samble also congratulates those that won the award as the most deligent workers in the state.

He however urged them to see the award as a challenge to do more and be more dedicated in the duties.
