All Progressives Congress in Osun state has called on citizens of the state to join the party in gibing gratitude to God for the excelling under the administration of Governor Rauf Aregbesola despite opposition parties’ criticisms.
The party, in a statement from its Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy, signed by the Director, Kunle Oyatomi claimed that the state continues to have positive recognition locally and internationally.
According to the statement, “this is due to the good job the government and the party’s leadership are doing to place Osun rightly on the map as a pace setter amongst progressive communities in Nigeria.
“Osun is progressing despite the uninformed, malicious and demonic attacks and condemnation of any and everything Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola-led APC government has done and continues to do (since 2010) to develop and distinguish the state from others.
“A unbridled people within the opposition intensify their campaign to demonize and scandalize the Governor and the APC government, so, God continues to vindicate us and attract help from outside and within the country in appreciation of our work,” the APC declared.
APC said the latest of such recognition and appreciation of the good development, taking place in Osun, was the event in the state capital, Osogbo, last week.
It said “On that day, the Director General of the Industrial Training Fund, Sir Joseph Ari, acknowledged that Gov. Rauf Aregbesola has raised the bar of governance through numerous social intervention programmes that had impacted positively on the lives of the citizenry.
“For this reason, Sir Ari described Osun as a trail blazer state in the empowerment of youths in Nigeria./The ITF had collaborated with the Federal Government to train youths in Osun on various skills under the National Industrial Skills Development Programme.
“Osun had been deliberately and intentionally chosen to follow after Abuja, according to Sir Ari, primarily because of what he described as the high sense of commitment attached to.youth empowerment by Gov. Aregbesola.
“We recall how the leadership of PDP had derided the Governor over his empowerment scheme. We also know that they scorned and scandalized the government and the APC for the feeding programme of the school children.
“But today, they have not only been put to shame by the acknowledgment of the ITF boss that Osun is ahead of other states of the Federation for its pace setting high standard of governance; its social empowerment programmes were equally described as unique.
“However, that’s only a part of the story’, the APC emphasised, adding that, ‘when the rest of the story is told, Aregbesola and the APC will stand so tall, the opposition will look like intellectual pygmies.”
The party therefore called on citizens of the state to show gratitude to God for Osun what it is today through the APC government.
