The sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar and JAMB Regstrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede will tomorrow arrive Osogbo, Osun state capital for the inauguration of the Board of Trustees of the Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria.
The revered traditional ruler would inaugurate the BOT at the Banquet Hall of the Osun State Government House in Osogbo.
Governor Rauf Aregbesola will be the special guest of honour at the ceremony.
According to a release made available to newsmen on Friday and signed by the National Coordinator of the Muslim group, Ibrahim Abdullah, the Sultan of sokoto, who is the grand patron of the association would also serve as the Chief Guest of Honour at the event.
The BOT to be chaired by the Chairman, Governing Council of Osun State University, Mallam Yusuf Ali (SAN) has Mallam Muhammad Haruna, Barrister Abdraheem Adebayo Shittu, Professor Abdganiyu Ambali, Professor Obini Ekpe and Professor Saadiya Omar Bello as members.
The ceremony will be presided over by the Chairman, Oyo State Muslim Community and former National President, NACOMYO, Alhaji Kunle Sanni.
A paper on the theme: “Effective Use of Mass Media for Da’awah,” will be presented by an Editor-in-Chief and a member editorial board of the defunct Concord Newspapers, Alhaji Liad Tella.
Also expected to attend the event scheduled to comence at 10:00am are delegates of the association across the country.
